Precision Coatings introduces a state of the art waterborne urethane coating that is available in metallic, iridescent and solid colors in a full range of sheens.
December 15, 2011
The introduction by Precision Coatings of its DTM 1600 primer and PC6 waterborne polyurethane topcoat truly moves the technology to a new level with corrosion resistant, weatherable, waterborne polyurethane coating systems. Along with its accompanying DTM 1600 single component waterborne polyurethane primer, Precision's PC6 single component waterborne polyurethane finish provides corrosion protection, extreme durability, high grade aesthetics in a low VOC, LEED compliant very low odor system. DTM 1600 and PC6 can be used for interior and exterior applications without the need for a clear coat for metallic and iridescent finishes. DTM 1600 and PC6 are isocyanate free and provide an excellent coating system for applications in occupied conditioned space where the effects of paint odors and fumes are a concern. The PC6 finish coat is available in metallic, iridescent and solid colors with reflectivity of gloss, semi-gloss, satin, egg-shell and matte.

EeZeClean Dry Erase Coating introduced by Precision Coatings
December 10, 2011
Precision Coatings introduces EeZeClean Dry Erase Coating for interior and exterior walls and columns that are used for writable surfaces. EeZeClean contains no isocyanates so it can be applied in occupied space and conditioned buildings. EeZeClean's light medicinal odor during application allows adjacent classrooms, offices and meeting rooms to be in use and not disrupted. EeZeClean is less than 100 grams per liter VOC dry erase coating that provides a professional finish when applied by spray over Level 5 surfaces. EeZeClean is a LEED compliant product that provides a hard cleanable surface for the use of dry erase pens and markers. Precision Coatings EeZeClean can be applied by spray application as well as roller and brush. EeZeClean is available in white, clear and custom colors with a gloss reflectivity.

New Orleans Superdome floors coated with SlipShield 1000 to increase COF for added slip resistance; Easily cleaned floor is a by-product
October 1, 2011
Precision Coatings SlipShield 1000 sealer has been applied to approximately 300,00 square feet of aisle ways and ramps at the New Orleans Superdome to improve the slip resistance and cleanability of the floor surfaces. Slip resistance was the key to the selection by the Superdome management of the Precision Coatings SlipShield 1000 according to flooring consultant Manuel Taijeron of KTM Coatings of San Diego, CA. Taijeron working with the Superdome architect and facilities management team selected SlipShield combined with an aggregate loading for ramps and aisle ways that were notoriously slippery to increase the coefficient of friction on walking surfaces. Manuel Taijeron noted that the Superdome facilities management team did not expect the ease of cleaning they achieved with the SlipShield 1000. According to Taijeron, a hose down of the floor was all that was needed to clean off the debris and spillage following a home game. The SlipShield 1000 flooring system was installed by Python Corporation of Louisiana.
